About the Golf Classic

Registration includes greens fees, on-course contests, gourmet boxed lunch, complimentary on-course beverage service, and an outdoor post-tournament reception. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams in two flights.

To keep everyone safe, we will follow all safety guidelines recommended at the time of the event, including social distancing. This tournament will be the one you know and love, just a little safer!
About Soundscapes

Soundscapes is a nonprofit organization that teaches critical life skills to students through music education. At the heart of the organization's success is the strong belief in the power of music to change lives and the understanding that all children have valuable contributions to make both musically and to our community.

You can help just by playing golf! All proceeds from the Golf Classic support the student musicians.

Includes registration for two team players, four tee box signs and registration table sign featuring your logo, and your logo on all future even marketing promotions.

Includes registration for a team of 4 players and two tee box signs featuring your logo.

Includes registration for a team of 4 players and one tee box sign featuring your logo.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to be a member of the James River Country Club to participate?

No, this tournament is open to the community! If you are not a member, this tournament provides an excellent opportunity to play the Country Club’s beautiful course.

I have dietary restrictions. Will I be able to partake in the lunch and beverages?

Please contact us at 757-273-6178 ext.5 or as soon as possible and we will make every effort to accommodate your needs.

What precautions are being taken to protect attendees from COVID-19?

Social distancing and other state guidelines will be followed. This means:

• Staff will be wearing masks and washing their hands frequently

• Everyone should remain at least six feet apart whenever possible

• We will be providing a boxed lunch

• The reception and award ceremony will be held outside

Do I need to wear a mask?

Wearing a mask is highly recommended, but will not be enforced outdoors. We ask that you wear a mask if/when entering the Country Club buildings and any time social distancing is not possible, such as in the golf carts. Soundscapes will have a limited number of disposable masks available upon request.
