Soundscapes is seeking Teaching Artist Assistant volunteers, and volunteers for our Concert Production Team.
Teaching Artist Assistants work closely with students under the direction of a Soundscapes faculty teaching artist in Level 2 instrument-specific sectional classes. Teaching Artist Assistants reemphasize the teachings and directions of the instructor, and offer instrument specific technical support to the students. At minimum, high school music experience is required. Teaching Artist Assistants are expected to volunteer on a consistent basis at least one time per week. All Teaching Artist Assistants are required to submit a background check.
Our Concert Production Team is critical to the success of Soundscapes concerts. With over 150 student musicians participating this fall, there are certainly a lot of pieces in motion during each concert. Concert Production Team Members assist on-and-off-stage — changing instrument set-ups, passing out programs, collecting e-mail addresses, and even operating lights and recording equipment. This opportunity is available multiple times throughout the year. Submit this form and our program manager will be in touch with you as soon as possible.
